F1Laps MCP: Analyze F1 Laps with ChatGPT or Claude

The F1Laps MCP connects your F1Laps account to compatible AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude. Once connected, you can ask questions about your laps, telemetry, setups, and progress in normal language.

Use it to move from "What happened?" to a focused answer based on the laps saved in your own account.

What is the F1Laps MCP?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol. It gives an AI assistant a secure way to request the F1Laps data that helps answer your question.

The F1Laps MCP is read-only. It can find and compare data, but it cannot edit or delete your laps, sessions, seasons, or setups.

What can you ask the F1Laps MCP?

The connection gives an assistant useful context without making you find each session or copy each table yourself.

Try questions such as:

• "Compare my latest Monaco lap with my personal best."
• "Compare my fastest Silverstone lap with the fastest public leaderboard lap."
• "Show my best time at each track and where I improved this month."
• "Find my latest lap with telemetry and explain where I lose time."
• "Compare my setup with the community range for this track."
• "What AI difficulty matches my fastest lap at Spa?"

The assistant can choose the relevant laps, summarize the evidence, and make its reasoning clear. For a detailed comparison, it can use sector times and distance-based driving data such as speed, brake, throttle, gear, steering, DRS, tyre temperatures, and ERS when those channels are available.

Compare your lap with the leaderboard

Personal bests tell you whether you are improving. A public leaderboard benchmark gives you a different reference: the fastest eligible F1Laps lap for the same game and track.

Ask the F1Laps MCP to compare your lap with the fastest public leaderboard lap. The assistant can report the time and sector gaps and, when both laps include accessible telemetry, show where the gap grows or falls. It can also link to the public F1 26 leaderboards.

Leaderboard pace is not always a like-for-like target. Game mode, assists, controller, weather, car performance, and setup can all affect the result. A useful answer should separate measured differences from possible causes.

See your progress across every track

You can also ask account-wide questions. The F1Laps MCP can summarize your best and latest lap for each track across supported F1 game years. It can count matching, valid, and telemetry laps and show a weekly best-time trend for one track.

That makes questions such as "Where did I improve this month?" or "What is my strongest track in F1 26?" possible without opening every session one by one.

Use your setup and community data together

F1Laps already has a large community setup database. A connected assistant can compare the setup saved with your lap against relevant community results and the common range for that track.

This does not make one setup universally correct. It gives the assistant evidence to identify clear outliers and suggest a sensible change to test next.

Who can use it?

Every registered F1Laps account can use lap and session summaries, progress statistics, community setups, and the AI Difficulty Calculator through the F1Laps MCP.

Detailed telemetry needs a Champion plan, an active Champion trial, or eligible legacy access. You can still use summary and setup features without detailed telemetry.

Your account can contain laps that you entered manually and laps recorded automatically by the F1Laps app. To record complete sessions while you drive, connect F1Laps Telemetry.

Connect F1Laps to ChatGPT or Claude

Add https://www.f1laps.com/mcp as a custom app in ChatGPT or a custom connector in Claude. The assistant will send you to a branded F1Laps screen to sign in and approve read-only access.
