New Windows Telemetry App on the Microsoft Store
The F1Laps Windows telemetry app has been rebuilt from scratch and is now available on the Microsoft Store. If you've used the old desktop app, this is a full replacement with a cleaner interface, automatic updates, and better reliability.

What's new
The previous Windows app worked, but it had rough edges: slow startup, manual update downloads, and an interface that was functional but not much more.
The new app is a complete rewrite. Here's what changed:
- Cleaner UI: A modern, streamlined interface that's easier to navigate. Login, connect, and start capturing data with fewer clicks.
- Auto-updates via Microsoft Store: No more downloading installers from the website. The Store handles updates automatically, so you're always on the latest version.
- Faster and more reliable: Startup is quicker and connections are more consistent.
- Same functionality: Everything you need to capture telemetry from F1 25 and earlier titles still works exactly as before.
How to get started
Step 1: Download the app from the Microsoft Store.
Step 2: Log in with your F1Laps account.

Step 3: Set your IP address and port, then launch your F1 game. The app will wait for telemetry data.

Step 4: Drive. The app picks up telemetry automatically and syncs your laps and sessions to F1Laps.

For detailed instructions, check the Windows setup guide. If you run into issues, the troubleshooting FAQ covers the most common fixes.
What about the old app?
The previous desktop app still works if you have it installed. But it won't receive any further updates. We recommend switching to the new Microsoft Store version when you get a chance.
If you're still using the old app, just delete it and grab the new one from the Store. Your F1Laps account and all your data carry over since everything is synced to your account.
What's next
The Windows app is part of a broader effort to bring F1Laps telemetry to every platform. The Android app is launching soon, and we're working on bringing the same experience to all platforms. Improvements to one app benefit all of them.
We're also continuing to develop new telemetry features and analytics on the website itself. More on that soon.
