F1 25 UDP telemetry settings
F1 25 sends telemetry data via UDP packets that apps like F1Laps can capture and analyze. Here's how to configure it.
In-Game Settings
Go to Settings > Telemetry Settings in F1 25:
| Setting | Recommended Value |
|---|---|
| UDP Telemetry | On |
| UDP Broadcast Mode | Off |
| UDP IP Address | Your computer's IP (e.g., 192.168.1.100) |
| UDP Port | 20777 |
| UDP Send Rate | 20Hz |
| UDP Format | 2024 |
Finding Your Computer's IP Address
Windows:
1. Open Command Prompt
2. Type ipconfig
3. Look for "IPv4 Address" (usually starts with 192.168)
Mac:
1. Open System Settings > Network
2. Select your active connection
3. Your IP is displayed
UDP Settings Explained
UDP Broadcast Mode
- Off = Send to specific IP (more reliable)
- On = Broadcast to all devices (use if having connection issues)
UDP Send Rate
- 20Hz = 20 packets per second (recommended for stability)
- Higher rates provide more data but can cause packet loss
UDP Format
- Use 2024 format for F1 25 (backwards compatible)
- Required for apps to correctly parse the data
Console Players (PlayStation/Xbox)
Console versions also support UDP telemetry:
1. Configure the same settings in-game
2. Set UDP IP to your computer running the F1Laps Telemetry App
3. Ensure both devices are on the same network
Troubleshooting
- No data received? Check firewall isn't blocking UDP port 20777
- Intermittent data? Try UDP Broadcast Mode: On
- Wrong data format? Ensure UDP Format is set to 2024
