How does the AI difficulty calculator work?
The AI Difficulty Calculator helps you find the right AI difficulty setting for competitive races in F1 games.
The Problem It Solves
F1 games have AI difficulty from 0-110, but finding the right level is tricky:
- Too low = boring races with easy wins
- Too high = frustrating races at the back
- Different tracks require different settings - AI is faster at some circuits than others
How It Works
The calculator uses real lap time data from thousands of F1Laps users to determine:
- Your pace - Based on your actual lap times
- AI pace - How fast AI drives at each difficulty level
- Track-specific adjustment - AI relative strength varies by circuit
How to Use It
- Go to the AI Difficulty Calculator
- Select your game version (F1 25, F1 24, etc.)
- Choose the track
- Enter your lap time OR connect F1Laps to use your actual data
- Get your recommended AI difficulty
Track-by-Track Recommendations
The AI doesn't perform equally at all tracks. For example:
- AI might be relatively stronger at high-speed circuits
- AI might struggle more at technical street circuits
- Weather conditions also affect AI performance
The calculator accounts for these differences, giving you per-track recommendations.
Pro Tip
Connect F1Laps to your game and the calculator can automatically use your real lap times - no manual entry needed.
