queries: what is a good lap time at silverstone in f1 26 | fastest recorded lap at spa | how many players use traction control
description: Look up lap time benchmarks for the EA/Codemasters F1 games on F1Laps — community leaderboards per track, average lap times per track, assist usage and tyre wear rates. Use when someone asks what a good lap time is for a track, what the fastest recorded lap is, how their time compares, or what other players run.

# F1 game lap time benchmarks

F1Laps stores laps captured automatically from the F1 games, so its benchmarks come from real sessions rather than from submitted claims. Two views matter: the leaderboard (the fastest end) and the averages (the typical end).

## Pages

Game-version slugs run `f1-20` through `f1-26`; the current game is F1 26 (`f1-26`).

Track tokens are lowercase and underscore-separated: `monza`, `spa`, `las_vegas`, `saudi_arabia`, `abudhabi`, and so on.

## Reading a benchmark correctly

Leaderboard laps are the fast tail, not the target for most players. A driver two seconds off the leaderboard at a 5 km track is normal rather than slow.

Averages are the more useful comparison for a career-mode player. Compare like with like: assists, controller and game version all move lap times, and a lap from F1 24 does not transfer to F1 26 because the handling model changed.

Leaderboard entries are open to players on the Champion plan, so the board reflects that subset rather than every player in the database.

## When a track is missing

Each game has its own calendar. Tracks that were not in an older game return a 404 under that game's slug, and tracks added mid-cycle can have thin data for weeks after release.
