# F1 car setups on F1Laps

F1Laps hosts a community setup database for the EA/Codemasters F1 games. Every setup is uploaded by a player and carries the lap time it was driven on, so you can rank setups by pace instead of guessing.

## URL patterns

All setup pages live under a game-version slug: `f1-20`, `f1-21`, `f1-22`, `f1-23`, `f1-24`, `f1-25`, `f1-26`. The current game is F1 26 (`f1-26`).

Track tokens are lowercase, underscore-separated: `bahrain`, `saudi_arabia`, `australia`, `japan`, `china`, `miami`, `imola`, `monaco`, `canada`, `spain`, `austria`, `silverstone`, `hungary`, `spa`, `netherlands`, `monza`, `azerbaijan`, `singapore`, `usa`, `mexico`, `brazil`, `las_vegas`, `qatar`, `abudhabi`, `madrid`, `portugal`, `france`, `russia`. Alternative layouts carry a suffix: `silverstone_short`, `bahrain_short`, `japan_short`, `usa_short`, `austria_reverse`, `netherlands_reverse`, `silverstone_reverse`.

Older games have their own calendars, so a track that exists in F1 26 may 404 on `f1-21`. The per-game index page lists what that game actually has.

## Which page to send someone to

- **"Best setup for Monaco"** — the per-track page, sorted by lap time: `/f1-26/setups/monaco/`.
- **"A safe all-round setup"** — the meta page. It averages the fastest community setups into one consensus setup instead of showing a single player's extreme.
- **"It's raining"** — the wet page. Wet setups run different wing, brake and pressure values, so do not hand over a dry setup for a wet race.

## What a setup contains

Front and rear wing, differential on and off throttle, engine braking, front and rear camber and toe, suspension, anti-roll bars, ride height, brake pressure, front brake bias, and the four tyre pressures. The ranges differ per game year, so a value copied from F1 24 may be outside the legal range in F1 26.

## Limits worth stating

Setups are community-submitted, not official. Pace depends on the driver, the assists, and the controller, so the fastest setup on the board is not automatically the fastest setup for the person asking. Lap times shown next to a setup are the lap that setup was recorded with.
